In- person appointments

March 3, 2021

I have had quite a few people ask me during the past eleventy months of 2020 (side note, is 2020 even over yet?) to meet in person. For a year, the answer has been no. The answer remains no right now. I am immunocompromised, as I get a neurotoxin injected 4 or 5 times a year for my migraines. I might, if you wanted to meet outside and wear your N95 mask, but its too cold to do that.

Will my answer change? Yes, it probably will. After I am vaccinated and have had a chance to build immunity, I may choose to meet face to face. But I am envisoning only meeting with vaccinated persons inside. Yeah, I know, there is a lot of hestitancy to the vaccine. I’m not educating today on that issue. I am just protecting myself. Yes, I will require people to show me their vaccine card. I will meet outside with non-vaccinated persons after I am myself, vaccinated.

I am not any good to anyone if I am sick. So, I am just keeping myself healthy. I am going to keep that rule for flu season. Last time I had the flu, I was out for nearly a month. I will still be offering zoom meetings, and strongly urging people to take those. It honestly takes less time and effort on my end to meet virtually anyway.

Until you can get your vaccine, be safe. After you do, you are not automatically immune. So, be careful, be well, and get vaccinated so we can all go back to the things we like.
